Bed and Breakfast in a Yurt or Teepee
The Mas Pinet is a 300 year old stone farm house nestled in a secluded provincial valley, bordering the Cevennes National Park in southern France. Sitting on 25 acres of land cradled in the Valley Pinet and accompanied by a small river running by, the Mas Pinet is the ideal environment to learn, grow, laugh, and rest.
Guests will have the choice of staying in original Mongolian yurts or a traditional Native American tipi. We also invite everyone to pass a night under the naked sky (highly recommended for those city dwellers who always wondered what stars were).
"Table d'hôte": Stay for dinner!
As with the growing majority of the world, we at the Mas Pinet aspire to live a healthy, organic, and eco/local-friendly existence. Our large organic garden provides the majority of the food that will be served to you if you choose to eat around the family table (normal attendance varies nightly between 4-14!).
The biweekly farmers market provides our cheese, organic breads and local meats. A cook will be present during workshop weeks and will be available for all special needs. Menus may be elaborated upon, depending on our population, and adjusted in recognition of personal eating preferences.
If you prefer eating out at a restaurant, your hosts will be glad to recommend the best of them to you.
Artist Retreats in the Heart of France
The Mas Pinet Artistic Retreat is open from March to October, offering weekly workshops and seminars in a wide range of artistic, cultural and environmental activities. Artistic residencies as well as solo retreats are welcome at the Mas. The possibility of extending personal or group projects into the winter months will be considered upon necessity and availability.
If you need a quiet place to create and retreat for a few weeks or if you want to bring 20 of your students for an exotic weeklong intensive, don't hesitate to contact us about availability or project guidance.

Activities & Well-Being
We can always organize mini classes for you and your friends — like painting , yoga/Pilates, beading, etc. We also offer massages that will make you feel more relaxed than ever, at anytime of the day.
There are a lot of activities you can be part of near by Mas Pinet, and we surely can arrange them for you: canoeing, biking, pottery, rope courses, horse riding, hiking, canyoning, climbing … and of course swimming at the lake or the river! We can point you to the best places!
No matter what, your hosts — Jade and Karine Kindar-Martin, artists themselves — will make sure your experience at the Mas Pinet is unforgettable.
Events, Workshops & Weddings
Mas Pinet is always excited to organize special events, such as mini concerts, shows, wedding receptions, team building weekends, or any group workshop that you think would profit from our environment. We work together with many providers of the area — restaurants, other bed and breakfasts and gites, cooks, entertainers, etc. — to make your special weekend or more as good as possible. Just contact us to discuss your project.
High Wire
The "baptism on the wire" is always available at the Mas Pinet, where one may, under the watchful eye and safety line of Jade Kindar-Martin (owner of two world records), experience the thrill of walking on a high wire.
Walking on the high wire is an amazing challenge for your team-building participants and is certain to bring a few good laughs among guests at your wedding reception or bridesmaids party! It's a one-of-a-kind experience you won't get anywhere else!
